Enhanced Seismic Activity Observed in Alaska Due To Climate Change
How hot will it get?
- Most likely we will blow past 2 degrees centigrade *(35.6 °Fahrenheit). Hitting 3 degrees by 2200 (37.4 °Fahrenheit) sounds more realistic, possibly too conservative, judging by today's geopolitics.
- How hot will it get?
- We must begin with the .6°C warming up to 1990, which resulted from CO2 emissions from about 1777, the Industrial Revolution's beginning.
- Here are a few short scenarios for greenhouse gas emissions:
- Low submissions range from 1 to 3°C (33.8 - 37.4) for 1992 - 2095
- Highest emission range from 2°C to 6°C (35.6- 44.6)
- More, answering this question must begin with understanding the heat pipeline. If and when humanity stops adding CO2 and methane to the atmosphere, greenhouse gases will continue to heat the planet for about 20 to 30 years. So in no way can we stop Earth heating 10 years from tomorrow if we stop burning fossil fuels today. It's inevitable.
- This means that in 2200, many babies born today will experience worldwide temperatures no other human beings experienced, ever. Adding insult to injury, they will have no Arctic Sea ice and most glaciers will be long gone. They will have a small percentage of albedo available today as our government digs into the Tundra like Brazil's government digs into the Amazon rainforest. (The Mystery of the Antarctic Sea Ice Puzzle, Suddenly Sea ice Plummeting - Sea ice disappearing in both hemispheres - - Look to ocean warming and evaporation leading to greater snow fall)
- Earth's human population will grow by over 100,000,000 babies this year. "Good luck kids because, apparently, people really don't care about your future." See Water. Soil. Carbon... Sponge! Part 1

Climate Science History and Global Warming
I never needed a climate scientist
I never needed a climate scientist to point out the damage by 1,000,000,000 cars burning fossil fuels. It's common sense. I did take a couple of decades to figure out that the Earth became a planetary commodity, down to the square inch. It took moments to understand that Donald Trump believes everything is for sale, including creation.
- Global warming usually takes about 5,000 years at the end of an ice age to ramp up. (Archer) The Milankovich cycles usually drive this change as Earth nears the Sun. Today, though, carbon dioxide (CO2) drives global warming, not the Milankovich Cycles. More, the Arctic heats at twice the speed as the rest of Earth. Feedback loops kick in, as the Arctic Ocean approaches its first "blue ocean event," an iceless Arctic Ocean. As a result, the Sun's energy must strike the Arctic Ocean's surface and begin heating it in September, 24 hours a day. The warm ocean water will then heat more ice and melt it, and so on, amplification. The first "blue ocean event" may begin as early as September, 2024. Ice will not return in the summer for many generations, most likely. For now, the ocean's surface remains thin, mushy ice, not a thick, reflecting albedo.
- Meanwhile, a great methane bubble resides just below the Arctic Ocean's bottom layer of silt. It can "burp" at any moment as the Arctic Ocean heats. NASA repeatedly documents the Arctic's increasing rate of warming. This is not a "hoax," but evidence based science.
- John Tyndall (1850s) demonstrated the role of greenhouse gases, water vapor and carbon dioxide (CO2). He explained how the trace greenhouse gases raise Earth's temperature, global warming.
- What gives CO2 its power even though it is a trace gas?
CO2's electronic symmetry. reflected sunlight, untraviolate radiation, strikes trace amounts of greenhouse gases, especially CO2. These become agitated and vibrate with great energy for
prolonged periods of time, some as long as hundreds of years, others for over a thousand years. See the CO2 picture above. Note the two oxygen atoms attached to the single CO2 atom. Methane, as nature would have it, packs multiples more greenhouse power than CO2. And at this moment, Note methanes hydrogen atoms attached to its single carbon atom. - Trump kills restrictions on oil drilling and the release of millions of tons of methane; not good for following generations. This is intergenerational moral corruption for short-term profits benefiting the few, and long-term consequences for the many.
- For me, I don't think the soldiers on Omaha Beach and marines on Iwo Jima had this sort of government in mind for future generations. But then again, apparently, millions of Americans think otherwise. Now, how could this be?

Intergenerational Moral Corruption wins the subject lottery for September. Stand aside, enemies of the open society! Intergenerational moral corruption should give direction to September. There should be no doubt about it, no philosopher, no social scientist that I know of could have foreseen what's at hand. It's beyond imagination. The romantics worse nightmares could not have conjured up what we have on our hands: intergenerational nuclear waste and increasing greenhouse gas density mark the current generation for what it does most, worldwide genocide. Hence, intergenerational moral corruption gets the nod this month, even though I neglected to write about the Soviet's Marxist biology, magical thinking as promised. It's settled, then. The war on nature and science continue as if Stalin and Lysenko became termites.Their termite virus then made its way into Exxon-Mobile, the Koch brothers, and the Republican Party. Zombie-like, the termite disease spread to Brazi. Now it makes its way into the Tundra via the Republican Party and its president. The decimation of many species-populations in the wild follows along with increasing temperatures. What philosophers could have imagined the wicked problems kicked down the road for generations to come? |
